Get to Know Kevin & Willie

What happens when you bring together a highly-trained cosmetologist and an interior designer…MAGIC! We met in 2012 and got married 12 months later. After three years, and a family crisis, we grew our romantic partnership into a business partnership. We established Ladies Love Units in 2015 and never looked back.

The LLU Origin Story

In 2014, Kevin’s sister was diagnosed with cancer and started undergoing treatment. Eventually, because of her hair loss, Willie was no longer able to install the hair extensions that helped her feel good despite what was happening to her body. One day she asked us to create a wig, or unit, that didn’t need glue to stay on, was comfortable and looked 100% real.

We put our heads together to create the perfect unit – we wanted Kevin’s sister to feel beautiful even though she was going through something so difficult. What we came up with was a handcrafted, one-of-a kind wig, fully customized for the wearer. This wig (and all of our units that followed) was constructed with 100% raw hair and the finest silk lace.
